...oh CTV, how I love you...

We don't have cable. In fact, we only have two channels. Well, two and a half. We can get Global and CTV and a fuzzy CBC on a good day.

So tonight I was watching Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye. (let me reiterate: two channels) It's a show about the FBI (shocker) and one of the lead actors is a deaf female officer named Sue. At any rate, tonight's show was about a woman who is accused of killing her husband. She is innocent and it turns out he was abusing her to boot. In one of the final scenes, the woman is lying in a hospital bed and she is talking to Sue about her husband. The woman tells Sue that her husband told her that he had a "God-given right" to abuse her. What got me was Sue's response to her statement. Instead of just saying "well, he's wrong," Sue says "Well, he's wrong. A husband is supposed to love his wife as Christ loves the church. There is no room for violence in that."

And that is why I love CTV. Good for them for airing that line...although, who really watches TV on a Saturday night. Me, apparently.

It's because I'm so cool.

Can't you tell?

Look what a little internet sleuthing found: http://st.gospelcom.net/ Seems as though Sue is a real live woman!

Another fun link, brought to you by yours truly: providing you with pointless procrastination since 1981. (specifically on this site, since 2005...but 1981 just sounds so much cooler. See again with the coolness...I see a reoccuring theme...)

Oh, how I miss you! You are sooo cool! The one thing that is cooler than you is the year 1981, it was a good year for births ;)
Have an excellent day!
